Are there lifts in the resort?

Turtle Beach Resort was built as a 3-storey walk-up complex and does not have any lifts located in any area of the building. It is a 4-storey climb from the underground car park to the third level.

Are there pool towels in the apartments?

Pool/beach towels are not provided in the apartments; however we offer a pool towel hire service at Guest Services for $5 per towel for the duration of your stay, which can be laundered in your apartment.

Can we have grocery items delivered to the resort for our stay?

We recommend this as a perfect way to start your holiday so feel free to order your groceries on line prior to your arrival. As we are unable to accept or store your grocery items, please ensure your delivery time coincides with a time that you will be onsite to accept your groceries so that the delivery driver is able to contact you promptly on arrival.

Are hair dryers provided in the apartments?

Yes hair dryers are provided in all the apartments.

Are the pools heated?

Our pools are gas heated to 26 degree in the cooler months and solar heated to 26 degree in the summer months. Splash Zone is not heated.

Are there restrictions on the slides?

The Splash Zone is for children only and some of the slides have a safety height restriction of 145cm and are not recommended for children taller than this. Children taller than 145cm use at their own risk. Restrictions apply for the safety of all guests. Please follow the directions of the attendants as the safety of guests is our priority.


Is the resort wheelchair friendly?

The resort is a three story walk up complex with no way of manoeuvring a wheel chair to the 1st and 2nd floors. Even some ground floor apartments and walkways can have small steps to negotiate.

The Deck restaurant can only be accessed via stairs and many paths throughout the resort have a width less than 183cm.

Does the resort supply amenities?

A convenient starter pack is provided on arrival in your apartment to get you through the first day or so with a few essential items, these include:

Toilet paper, kitchen tidy bag, laundry powder, dish liquid, soap, coffee, tea, sugar and milk. These items are not replenished and may be purchased from nearby supermarkets if required.

What is your child policy?

0-2 Years: FREE when using existing bedding. Cot hire available – charges apply.

3+ Years: adult rates apply.

Can we hire strollers / cots / high chairs etc from the resort?

We have cots/strollers/high chairs for hire for $10 each per day, wooden cots for hire for $15 per night and bed rails available for $5 per night. These should be pre-ordered prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.

Is linen provided?

All linen is provided in your apartment and can be laundered at your convenience in your fully self-contained apartment.

Can we pay by EFT?

Turtle Beach Resort accepts Visa and Mastercard as our preferred method of payment. Alternatively a money order / bank cheque can be arranged ensuring ample time to arrive in the post. We do not currently support bank deposits as a form of payment.

Arriving after hours?

A telephone is located on the wall in the reception area that is accessible for our late arriving guests with our night security on site to assist you with instructions on accessing your apartment keys.

Do you require a security bond on check in?

At check in a valid credit card with matching photo identification is required. A $200 pre auth security bond will be taken on arrival against Visa or Mastercard.

If you cannot provide a valid credit card to process the $200 pre authorization, a cash or EFTPOS bond will be required.

Please note cash/EFTPOS bonds will result in the requirement of your bank information to refund. This may take 2 to 3 business days from departure to process. Cash bonds will NOT be returned in cash.

Is car hire available?

We recommend Star Rent a Car for all your car hire needs. You can contact them on 1800 821 575, let them know you are staying at Turtle Beach Resort and they will be happy to assist you. Feel free to contact us for further information or specials.

Is there car parking available at the resort?

One car space per apartment is available complimentary in our underground secured carpark, subject to availability. Turtle Beach Resort does not cater to caravans, RV’s, trailers, buses, boats or any other watercraft.

What is the height of the car park?

The carpark has a height restriction of 2.1 meters. Over-height vehicle parking is not available on site. 

How far is the closest supermarket?

The closest supermarket is “Mermaid Plaza – Woolworths Metro” which is approx 100 metres from the resort.

Do you allow assistance and therapy dogs on your property?

Service dogs are permitted onsite with their carers. All dogs must wear the appropriate collars and or jackets at all times whilst on the property and meet the hygiene and behaviour standards appropriate for animals in public places. Registration paperwork is required prior to arrival. Assistance and therapy dogs are not permitted.

Is there a babysitting facilities available at the resort?

We recommend Gold Coast Babysitters or Coastal Babysitters which can be booked prior to arrival or at Guest Services. Please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid disappointment.

How to get to the resort from Brisbane or Gold Coast airport?

The best way to get to Turtle Beach Resort is by private shuttle bus transfer. We operate our own transfers which offer door to door transfers with no annoying stops.

How far away are theme parks and attractions?

Most of the theme parks are off the M1 motorway, approximately 30-35 minutes drive north from the Resort.

Sea World is located in Main Beach about 15 minutes from the resort.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located approximately 15-20 minutes South of the Resort

Turtle Beach Resort runs daily private shuttle bus transfers to all theme parks.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is anytime from 3pm and check out is by 10am.

If you arrive earlier than 3pm you are more than welcome to leave your bags at reception and you will be issued with a day pass allowing you to use all the facilities and pools until your apartment is ready for you.

How far to the beach?

The beach is approximately 300-400 metres away, walking distance from the resort. Mermaid Beach Surf Club is located approximately 1 km to the north with Nobbys Surf Club located approximately 1km to the south. The beach directly opposite the Resort is council patrolled all year round.

What does self contained mean?

Fully self-contained means that our apartments are fully equipped with kitchens, washing machines, dryers and many other typical household items. This gives you the choice of spending the night in enjoying the resorts’ facilities or the option to dine out and explore the local area. Another advantage of a self-contained apartment is housekeeping does not require access to your apartment, meaning once you are checked in, you are free to enjoy your holiday without interruption.

Are the apartments serviced?

Turtle Beach Resort is a fully self-contained apartment complex and does not provide daily servicing. A mid-week service is provided for bookings of 9 nights or more. Additional room services are available and will incur an incidental charge.
